C.J. credits offensive line after 141-yard outing

For me (and many others), it was never ALL about the stats. More about his decision-making and effort. He was dropping at first contact and even stopping dead in his tracks to brace for a hit instead of trying to make a move.

IMO he dramatically improved both his decision-making and his effort in week 4. And of course, the OL improved dramatically as well. The run game was firing on all cylinders and I really hope they can keep it up.

I think we all admit at this point that CJ has clearly lost a step. But that's not his biggest problem. It seems to be confidence. Even this past Sunday I saw a few times where he just seemed to lack the confidence to even TRY to make his guy miss or beat him to the edge. But 141 yards and 5.6ypc might have been just the boost his confidence needed.

This has been going one for a lot longer than 3 weeks... I'd so oh... about a season and a half.

I said that Zach Brown ran a 4.26. He absolutely doesn't run that now.

You mean the 2nd half of last season where he was 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards with close to 700 and 5.0 YPC?

If CJ can run a 4.5 I would be very, very impressed.

How many games did he have over 100 yards?

outside of those 3 games, he broke 60 yards ONCE, and did not have but one game over 4 yards per carry. So in 8 games, he had 3 that absolutely blew up his stat line. Did you not expect anyone to look this up?

To say CJ was any sort of decent back, in anything but 4/5 games last season is a lie. Flat out, its really not even debatable.

Forte had 13 carries for 52 yards... strong burst and faster.
