Good for Verner that he got paid well, he deserved it. I'm not sure if we were "too cheap" to sign him or if this new staff wants to go with the new breed of bigger corners and play man to man. If that is the case it would be hard to match a $26 million contract for a corner who would play against slot receivers.

Personally I see us drafting one of these big corners and play a lot more bump and run. That is not a role that Verner would fit very well.

 

Dont forget about all the women he's slept around with while married. Real fag that Eddie guy is, he bones dozens of women a month.

Verner is smart, he is a hard worker and a character guy. He made the pro bowl and is just hitting his prime. He is going to a system that caters to him, we haven't let anyone like that walk before.

There is a good chance he sticks around Tampa at a high level for some time.

 

How can the Titans front office be so damned dumb?

 

I expect Verner to play the role of Charles Tillman in Tampa.
