Broncos plane apparently on the way to Raleigh

Broncos reportedly offering 5 years, $60 million with $30 million guaranteed.

That pretty much throws water on the idea that the Titans could somehow get Manning for a few years but also keep Locker and transition to him at some point. Locker is a free agent in 2014 and he won't sit behind Manning for 5 years.

IMO, the Titans are insane if they offer a deal equal to that. It's just way too much money and too long of a contract for a guy with big question marks. It would be made far worse if Manning has a contract for life. It would make it impossible to cut him and move on.

 

Titans are unlikely to offer 5 year deal imo. they could pay him more peryear on a shorter deal though.

 

Doesn't sound like a lot of money. 12 per season.

I rather offer AT LEAST 15 per season, for shorter (3 years).

And I honestly think we'll offer more than that. 17-18 mil per season, which I didn't have a problem with if it means we can still sign Wells (which we probably can, by cutting Hasselbeck/Amano/Graham).

 

You guys know we have other roster spots we need to fill, right?
