Britt still slowed by ankle injury

Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt continues to be slowed by his ankle injury, which caused him to miss last week’s game against Houston.

Britt took part in individual drills on Wednesday, but did not participate in any team drills.

“He’s taken the next step as far as being on the field and running again,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “How he responds tomorrow and how much more he can do tomorrow … There’s no doubt he’s going to have to improve the next couple of days to help us on Sunday. But at least he’s headed in the right direction.”

Britt has missed 19 of the Titans’ 52 games since being drafted in the first round of the 2009 draft.

Asked if it was too early to tell whether he’d play on Sunday, Britt said, “I’m just easing (the ankle) in right now, to tell you the truth. Hopefully on Sunday I’ll be out there on the field with everybody.”
