Going to court should be his LAST resort. Actually, he should not bother. Too many stars try to proclaim there innocence so the public thinks they are squeaky clean...when they are not. Going to court would mean one thing...the NFL would get access to all of Brady's electronic communications and the potential for proof and other damaging things coming to light could be scary. And here's a taste...

What if Belicheck knew or even the perception he knew based on some texts?

What if other ways of bending the rules were found?

IF...and this is a VERY BIG IF....what IF the story about the Colts finding out about this from the intercepted passes in their previous game. That was a COLTS home game which would mean there are other people involved in this deflate gate.

Not to mention any personal stuff getting 'leaked' to the public!!!?

Keep in mind, if there is anything in his electronic communications that conflicts with what he has already told them and he will get even more 'punishment' handed down now.

Going to court COULD allow him to 'clear' his name and force the NFL to reduce or get rid of his suspension...but it opens up a lot of other dangerous (for Brady) paths and things for the NFL to find out. Furthermore, if it goes to court now a bunch of people are gonna have to swear under oath in a court of law as to what they did, said, know. Not a good idea. What if one of the ball guys strikes a deal and gives direct testimony he was told directly by Brady to do this and to what level? Then what? Clearly he doesn't like Brady and could be given the opportunity to trash him!!!

Would the Pats have to explain why they fired two employees if they did nothing wrong?

Lots of ways this could go sideways...and for what?

Why wouldn't they punish the team? Is Brady the only one who benefits from a ball that's easier to grip, throw, hold on to, and catch? Theoretically it helps everyone on the offense who touches the ball and that helps the whole team win.

I love the argument that Brady had no idea that any illegal tampering with the balls was being done. Yeah, a ball boy and equipment manager are gonna decide to deflate the balls for no good reason. They must've came to the conclusion that this is assumingly what Brady would prefer and risk their jobs in order to do it. Oh and of course Brady wouldn't have been able to see anything was out of order with the balls, I mean Dquell Jackson touched one for a min or so and knew something wasn't right.

Those four games better stay in place.

No Jackson didn't know the balls were under inflated, he only turned the ball in because it was a Tom Brady INT in the playoffs, he tried to keep it for himself..
