According to who? Every so called BCS champion played one prearranged game on a neutral site.
Who is to say TCU, Stanford or BSU wouldn't have taken out Oregon or Auburn in a playoff? You never know. You never know who the best team is.

Auburn wasn't the best in the country. They were better than Oregon.

Any system that allows a split national title is a farce. There have been two years with split national titles. The BCS is a farce.

My utes were BCS busters twice and undefeated yet still no respect. Several years in a row of winning + longest bowl winning streak in the country and no respect is why they moved to the Pac-12. Boise has always had good teams but last couple years been good enough to compete for a championship. But the BCS is such corrupt garbage as long as it's around just as capable teams will be left out.

OHHHH but when an SEC team beats a sh*tty SEC team- it's notable, because ALL SEC teams are sooooo tough.

    Gtfoutta here...

Michigan exposes Alabamy come season opener next year.

and of course Georgia was ranked #19 simply because they're an SEC team.

Auburn's luck doesn't excuse their arsebeating they received today, either.

Thats how the SEC does it... Get ranked early in the season.. schedule 3-4 cupcake teams... beat Vandy, UK and Miss State and voila... Still ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season + bowl berth. It's a travesty. I'll applaud Georgia (and LSU) though. They had the audacity to actually schedule Boise State first game of the season (even tho Boise had to travel to the Georgia dome) as opposed to a teams like UTjr who schedule womens powderpuff football teams first game of the season.

Boy I tell ya... the SEC really has a tough road out of conference, don't they?

Hard to say Boise State plays cupcakes all year when most the SEC OOC opponents are high school teams.

Truth is: If you're the the SEC you'll probably play about 2 really tough in conference opponents each year.

Nothing no other team from any other conference doesn't face.

Now your reading comprehension is just terrible.

    Again...

"Again showing your ignorance and your age by not recognizing what college postseason was like prior to the BCS."

    "was like"

Based on most of these "BCS sucks" and "any playoffs" comments, I assume most of you didn't watch college football prior to 1998, or aren't college fans at all like bigtitan and are just looking for another thing to complain about it in the world.

It's like if the Titans played the Texans 16 times, you guys would consider that an equivalent schedule to every other NFL team.

If you guys had your way regarding an unfair 8 team AP poll playoff, I'd just root for UT to leave the SEC and join the Sun Belt so every year I could go "dur hur hur... UT undefeated. Now in the playoffs best team in the country!"

Bow down to your college football superiors. Looks like the SEC isn't scared to go to 16 team super conference and the PAC will as well. Any legit teams out there that really want to prove themselves will be trying to join the top conferences.

You do realize teams can't just show up in Birmingham and sign up? It is not as simple as "shut up and join a better conference.

Seriously you sound like an old man complaining about walking barefoot uphill in the snow to get to school.

"When I was young we didn't have any clue who the champion was! We had to let a monkey draw names out of a hat!"

And you sound like a whiny 13 year old that is going to cry cause your mom won't let you have a coke with dinner.

All this crying about the BCS and yet no love for the fact there is at least a game that features #1 vs #2 for a championship?
