    Overrated when healthy.

Team was always better without him than with him. Wasn't a coincidence. He was Roy Williams pt 2.

He's not going to stay healthy. He's missed more games than he's played in his career(by a relatively big margin). Even if he does stay healthy for a season he can't be counted on to be there year after year.

I'd sign him for a minimal contract, incentive-laden. At the first sign of injury, put him on IR, and nothing lost.

This statement is not even close to true and we all know it, including you.

I know you're just trying to stir the pot and steal some attention, but I really wish you wouldn't.

I think he is worth taking a chance on. Even if he wasn't an every down player. He won't be demanding a lot of money. I wouldn't pay him more than $1.5M to play here this season.

We could be like the Giants and rotate our safeties to some degree. And having him as one of our 3 guys wouldn't be a bad idea. The Colts survived without him because they drafted well enough to have capable backups. We need to do the same but if we signed a guy like Weddle or drafted a good safety i'm sure we could work him in and get some productive play out of him.

Why are we not releasing Hope with his $6.5M salary this year?

He's going to command more than $1.5 million, Roll. C'mon. The guy might be the most injury-prone player in recent NFL memory, but his agent can spin him as one of the most dynamic when he's healthy. And I'm sure they'll go to great lengths to convince some team that he is healthy right now.

Pass. I could see a contending team like the Pats take a chance. A team that is in a borderline rebuild doesn't need such a risk. It's better to pencil in just a solid starter, rather than put in a huge risk, but dynamic one IMO.
