Blount and Keglar cut in favor of 2 ST LB's(shaw, bailey)

meh, a third string RB for a third string LB who can play ST while we have two starting LBs out. I don't see the issue here.

 

Everyone is clearly more upset that we didn't cut Mouton or Nickey. Who cares about Blount at this point?

 

I think Mouton is safe because of lack of numbers (we only have 4 corners and Fuller @ Nickel).

Nickey is there because of Special Teams.

I think Gerald McRath owes Blount an apology.
I don't like the move because I saw nifty things from Blount vs. the Cards, but I can appreciate it's probably the right move. If he's going to be something, it's not yet: it's a year or two down the track. Whereas our ST sucks, and sucks now. Which would I rather have week 1 against the Raiders - third-string RB or special teams (supposedly) two men stronger? Definitely ST.

I just hope nobody else snaps him up in the meantime.
