SUMMARY: Titans K Rob Bironas has signed his one-year tender offer worth $1.47 million. The team remains interested in signing him to a long-term deal. Bironas was named to the Pro Bowl last season after making 35 of 39 field goal attempts. He also set the NFL single-game FGs record with eight (52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43, 29 and 29 yards) against the Texans. T David Stewart remains the only player who has yet to sign his tender offer.

I wonder why they didn't get him a multi-year deal. Everybody loves this guy. Who wouldn't? Sixty yard game winner... that's a keeper!

I'm hoping they are working on him and Stewart over the next couple of months.

This is just more time to get some negotiating done. If you've got a skilled popular kicker, it should be easy to get a deal done. I doubt Bironas will be unreasonable.

I expect he'll sign a long-term deal eventually. The Titans would be stupid to let him walk.
