Big Play Babs needs to start over Hope

    I doubt it will happen, but I think that Babs should be starting over Hope. Babs is not a liability in coverage that Hope is.

    The great thing about the defense yesterday was how we had Flacco so confused with our secondary. He was really having a hard time deciphering the defense as to whether it was man or zone. i think most of the pressure we got on Flacco was because of the coverage not because our DL were whipping the OL.

    Babs needs to start and Hope needs to come in in the nickle package and play LBer instead of McGrath. Hope certainly is better in coverage than McGrath and I think he can take on blockers and give run support about as well as McGrath.

    Jerry Gray called a great game yesterday and the guys executed very well.

    the one thing I will say is.........he's a magnet for turnovers! Preseason, now this game, he just gets his hands on the football, it is impressive.

    In his defense, it was Ray Rice. Very few can tackle him one v one... he coulda made the tackle though.

    He fell right off of him, at least slow him down.

    I'm not trying to rag on Babs, but I think people dislike Hope so much that Babs will be built into something he's not, kind of like Calvin Lowry was supposed to be better than Lamont Thompson.

    Babs is the better option period right now with our bigger Dline we need better coverage and Babs give us that.

    I blame the tackling on our MLB Ruud he is missing tackles left and right and on the Rice TD he miss the FIRST tackle.

    p.,s.Lowry was better then LT<the safety.

    I say keep the formula that works. Give Babs another start and see how he performs. It's time to start finding the best players at their positions. It's only gonna help the team improved. Klug, Ayers and Casey all made plays for us yesterday. It's time to find a replacement for Hope. Let's hope we have a guy below him on the depth chart who's waiting to break out.
