    All very fair points.

At the same time, there's a difference between not "unleashing" your QB (putting the game on his shoulders) and coddling/protecting him to the point where you aren't allowing him to make the kind of throws that your average NFL starting QB is expected to make in any given game. IMO we've been playing scared on offense through 2 weeks. IDK if that's simply a product of the gameplan against two tough defenses, or if there's a bigger problem here with them not trusting Jake enough to make those kind of throws on a consistent basis.

Either way, we need to grow a pair on offense or I think we're in for a frustrating season. It'd be different if our rushing attack was just shredding defenses. But they're not. We're averaging 3.1ypc. That's 25th in the NFL. Yet we're #1 in rushing attempts. Something here doesn't add up.

I believe he pulled up after hearing the whistle sound during the kick approach, I could be wrong though.

Either way he got a practice kick in, to me that mattered because we later saw him miss a FG attempt.

Agree to disagree but I don't like the practice of icing a kicker anyway be it ours or the opponents; I think it comes from when we were playing the then Shanahan coached Bronco's and Bironas missed a FG but got a second try at it because Shanahan iced him.

All kickers claim icing them helps them, Ive never heard a kicker say he minded being iced.

I'd imagine that if any kick said he hated being iced then almost every coach would ice them on every important kick.

Like I said, I was just looking for some positives. I'm not an idiot. There are positives to conservative playcalling, and that is a big part of the reason why we have 0 turnovers.
