Just thought this would be a good thread to commend our coaching staff on the improvements this season. I think a lot of you forget how bad we were on both sides of the ball last year. There have been great improvements on both offense and defense this season.

There have been mistakes, but its expected with a new offensive coordinator and a new defensive combo. We've gone against some of the best QB's we'll face all season and have not been shredded yet, despite favorable field position for opposing opposing teams. We've had an up and down performance with our run D, but when we did give up the run, we at least contained the pass.

What coaching decisions would help push our team over the top?

A new creative OC would help.

I don't think anyone's forgotten just how bad we were last year. The turnaround has been impressive to say the least. This looks like a completely different team, at least on defense.

Still not sold on Loggains, but it has only been two games. I'm hoping we see him open up the playbook and show some creativity soon though. Because if the first two weeks are indicative of what we can expect for the remainder of the season, well.... we're in trouble.

The only positive thing I can say about Loggains is that we've turned the ball over 0 times.

Are we the only team with that stat line right now? Anyways, that's usually a recipe for winning. The problem is we are too scared to turn it over that we don't take chances.

Look, our defense has proven it can hold its own. I know they faltered on their final two drives, but that's because they had been on the field way too damn long in the second half, and it was only a matter of time until the Texans took advantage of our three and outs and punting from our own endzone. Take some chances... throw some bombs - they're just as good as punts if picked off anyways.

Seriously, the Texans were starting at midfield the entire second half. No reason not to take more chances if you're already giving the ball up in your own territory by punting anyways.

How much can you really credit the coordinator for a lack of turnovers though?

And I definitely think it speaks to how safe we've been playing it offensively.

I know... I was just looking for positives in his playcalling. Conservative playcalling = fewer turnovers. So there's that, but at the same time it's holding us back.

When have we not been in the game because of the amount of points we have?

How quickly have we answered when we needed to score?

I think he's just been really conservative. I don't think its from a lack of ability at all. I'm ok with that. I think it has more to do with our young QB than Loggains ability to outsmart the defense. I think he's a good OC.

I think we'll definitely improve a lot on that side of the ball. If we're already competing against playoff teams now, we should definitely be outscoring them by the end of the season.

GREG WILLIAMS IS THE GIANT UPGRADE! Better line play and change in blocking scheme big on offense but at times I feel like fisher is back with the play calling. Until we let locker play we are never going to know. Running on first and second down between the tackles and having to throw on 3rd down hard to convert. Like to see more option and read option and locker use his legs! Overall it is correct this team has way better people running things that a year ago!
