    ORLY? you mean DTs actually start to wear out after 13 years in the NFL and stop being as productive as they were in their prime?

    top3 DT for next 3 years

    Aging won't have anything to do with him taking a step back... it's Albert. He's under a 100 mil contract. Think about it.

    You really think he's the best DT in the league?

    In his last two (contract) years with the Titans, he was the best DT in the league. Those days are long gone, bud.

    this is dumb. what player is in their prime for 13 years. what 20 year old rookie dominates the game in his first year? what 33 year old vet hasnt seen better days? answer : no one.

    Bruce Smith and Reggie White were pretty damn consistent throughout their entire careers. Strahan too... they're out there. Albert ain't one of 'em.

    If Albert is the "best DT in the league" as you've put it, he'll do the same.

    However, we all know he won't. End of story.

    legends =/= current best DT

    and, al may even have the talent to be a legend. its just doubtful that once he has a fat :grrr::grrr::grrr: bank account given his personality, he will give a fuuu anymore. hes dealing with more money than anyother DT has ever seen

    Lol. Yes. That's how it works with guys like Albert. *cough cough* Shaun Alexander *cough cough*

    Remember that guy? Of course you do! He's a former league MVP!

    What happened to him??? Oh, could it be... yes, I think it could be. Did he get a huge contract and then just stop trying? :yes:

    Will Albert Haynesworth do something similar? :yes:

    lol shaun alexander got injured, and was gettin old. stopped trying? if that was the case do you think he would go out like he did? playing like 3rd RB for the redskins. he was worn out. average RB lifespan has got to be pretty low. look at LT last year. a nagging injuries + age.

    Go look at that list and see how far down Albert is... Look how things can change within a few years.

    He was considered good, but not great. That's exactly the same player you can expect to see now that he's got his $100 mil lined up over the next 7 years.

    Was it a coincidence that he had two monster seasons in contract years? No.

    I am not, at all, in denial. Losing Haynesworth hurts, but not when he's worth $100 mil and you know he won't meet expectations now that he's been guaranteed so much money.
