I'm so worried that this whole situation will blow up.... I was thinking that last Sunday... had that last drive not happened I think there would be a problem right now... I have been a staunch Young supporter (and still am).. but after the mess this year I hope Collins is the QB for the rest of the season... I don't think Young could've made that 80 yard drive last week to win the game.... Not at this stage.... After a loss... now that will be interesting...

He didn't wear socks at UT, but he now has to in the NFL. That's why he was better in college.

I don't, I just have pictures of other people. I said my comment because I thought the pictures were just of VY, not VY with friends/other people. If the pictures are with other people, that's normal. If it's 5 pictures of VY by himself then ...... hopefully someone else put them up.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, it just caught my attention in the article.

    Really good article.

    Here's my problem:

This article paints Collins as the resurrected QB hero, that has perspective, and even humility.

Most quotes recently from Collins, seem to show more of an attitude that he is about himself. Maybe he's annoyed Vince hasn't talked to him more... if that's the case. Maybe it's just confidence, and I'm reading too much into it.

I would've preferred a comment along the lines of... "whatever helps us win games". Something putting the team first.

    I really liked Vince's quote:

A lot has been made about this QB situation, but this team isn't really about the QB. It's about the defense.

And for perspective, if I woke up tommorow, and heard KFC or Vince were out for the season I wouldn't be concerned at all (except about Christie Simms being full time backup). But if I woke up, and heard Chris Johnson, Albert Haynesworth, Finny, Bulluck, or KVB were out for the season, I would be EXTREMELY worried for the team.

I hope Vince Young opens his damn eyes and realizes how much he can learn from Collins. Not necessarily about football, but about how to overcome your demons and make the fans forget about your past.

Kerry is not the leader of this football team, just as Vince wasn't last year. I have a feeling 11 guys on the other side of the ball would take a comment like that very personally.

Perfect post. I am as anti-Vince as anyone, but that is only because he is CURRENTLY a terrible NFL quarterback, and we have a team that can win a Superbowl THIS YEAR. I don't want Vince (or any terrible QB) at the QB spot that touches the ball every offensive possession to be our weakest and most mistake prone player on the team. It's too dangerous right now. In a grudge match, a single mistake late in the game can cost this team a win.

But if in week 8 KFC goes down and Vince comes in, he has a blank canvas. It's his opportunity NOW to begin preparing for his own resurrection. Just thinking about him entering his next game, I can hear the crowd erupting. And, just as I was one of the first boo-birds to stand up at the Jags game, I will be the first one up applauding him equally as loud for a 2nd chance. But, if he comes in and time after time proves he doesn't have what it takes yet again, it's important for the Titans to address that position appropriately.
