He's 27 has very little miles on him plays well when AP goes down and catches the ball extremely well out of the backfield something nobody on the roster currently does and won't cost a fortune like Tate or Sproles. So yeah lol really like I do to most of your posts lately.
Gerhart would be a good signing because he'd come cheap.
I read somewhere that he averages 19 touches and 99 yards a game when he starts in AP's place. Those are good numbers.
But I'd much rather just draft a RB.
Hard to bring in a backup and expect him to keep his numbers high while getting an increased workload. Not sure about his durability, but he's huge, so no need for him and Shonn Greene. Both are similar types of running backs. If we get both, would like to see Gerhart featured perhaps as a fullback not sure how you see him and Greene both fitting in xhrr.
I don't even want Donald Brown but I'd sign him just so we won't have to play against him anymore.
THANK YOU! I was just going to post that. Sign him. Park his ass on the bench. Best defense we would have played against him since he was drafted.
Gerhart is a big back like Greene but he catches a thousand times better and has more straight line speed and less mileage. He runs harder imo as well or maybe its just that Greene looks like he's running in mud. Never was a big fan of Greene and while they are built the same they are very different. Gerhart/Greene/Rookie would be my preference.
We only save $4 mil cutting CJ. Tate is gonna cost us way more than $4 mil. I would venture $6 or $7 mil and that puts the expense at the rb position at $10 to $11 mil which is more than if we just keep CJ.
7 mil for Tate? Nah. Wouldn't want that bs.
No we save 6M
