The only thing that worries me is the defense. Jake has showed me enough in the preseason that I'm not as nervous about that position as I have been. But my gosh, our whole secondary needs replaced. We can't cover anyone. Either that, or we need to get pressure quickly before they can get beat.

Of all the streaks I want to break this year, it's the 10 year streak of being winless in the playoffs. That's my goal for this team. Get to the playoffs and win one game. Then next year do a secondary overhaul and sign one more pass rusher. We'll be contending for the Superbowl if Ruston does it right.

In all fairness, we held ATLs first team to 6 points through nearly 3 quarters. And that was in the "dress rehearsal" game. Gives me a little more confidence then I had before hand.

We took the weakest part of our team, the interior offensive line and made it a strength. To me that is worth 2 more wins right there.

We added Williams to fix our defense. How could we not improve?

We added the power back we needed and hopefully upgraded the safety position.

Actually 2 power backs the way Battle has been playing.

If Locker stays healthy and the defense is just average we can be 10-6 and make the playoffs.

Munch has never been much of a talker, so these words carry a lot of weight. It's not like Jerry Jones saying something.

I dont think he'd say something that he didn't truly believe.

Or Rex Ryan. Much is about as stoic as they come. He is a thinker not a talker and is not one of those Tony Robins positive thinking guys who says crap like that because they think saying it makes it more likely.

As someone pointed out earlier this quote is pulled from Munch's opening presser from training camp (so it's not really new news). I'm personally trying to be hopeful about the season, but I can see plenty of reasons to be nervous. Glad the coach was confident, but his team needs to consistently show up week in week out, and turn those consistent solid performances into wins.

Well, I guess Munch has a plan for 6-1 at worst the rest of the way.
