Hell yeah, amazing finale, although the Irene Adler episode and the season 1 finale are my all time favorites.

    Spoilers below....

Hopefully the twist won't be as simple as Sherlock knowing exactly how to position himself to survive the fall and Molly giving him a heart slowing serum.

Finally watched the first episode a couple of nights ago; we REALLY enjoyed it. I do believe that the US series "Elementary" was directly inspired by this BBC series.

Never seen Elementary, but I've heard from many people say they're ripping off the BBC series, all the way down to the wardrobe.

Isn't Elementary the one with a female Watson?

Irene Adler one was really good, that would be up there with the season 1 and 2 finale.

As for your spoiler, I dont think it will be that simple.

Season 1 finale is probably my all time favorite, Moriaty is the ultimate troll lol. The final moments in the Irene Adler episode when Sherlock reveals how he figured out the password, combined with the music, gave me chills. The only weak episode imo was the one with the tea lady.

As for the spoiler, yeah I don't think so either, I think it'll rely on an edit cheat, which I'm perfectly fine with.

The middle 2 of both seasons were the weaker ones.

A few days after, the creators said no one had worked out how he had survived. Take it for what it is worth but they say they had it worked out already.

    Yes, portrayed by Lucy Lu.

    The differences:

BBC's Watson is a military field doctor from the Afghanistan war just looking for a new place to live as a roommate. CBS's Watson is a former surgeon who lost a patient and quit medicine and wound up being hired by Holmes' father to be Holmes' sponsor to make sure he stays drug-free. Both series make reference to Holmes being an addict in recovery.

I'm not at all familiar with Doyle's literary Holmes, nor am I familiar with Basil Rathbone's film depiction; I wonder if either one of those treat Holmes the way these modern versions do: as an arrogant sociopath suffering from Asberger-like distractions....a dramatic counterpart to The Big Bang Theory's comical Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

Yeah he is portrayed that way in the books.

And upon doing further research I learn that he is indeed an addict in the books as well. Neat. Holmes freebases.
