    wouldnt he initially earn less in the first year of his new contract then what he is earning now?

    I would love to get Big Al signed for 5-6 more years. Great way to spend 10$m IMHO

    not saying he would sign for 2m a year I'm talking signing bonus.
     
  3. No. His base salary isn't even $650k this year. He would actually be more expensive with a new contract.

    Albert has a big base salary in 2007. So odds are they will sign him to a new contract next year.

    I'm still hoping that Reese is playing the media manipulation game. Getting all the fans expectations for the FA period very low and then when we do make a move he looks good. If we can't land anyone then we don't look bad. The Titans certainly won't be the top team a FA looking to win a SB would come to. If Reese came out and said that we would be big players and then couldn't convince anyone to come then it would look bad.
