    If KISS hadn't happened, you'd all still be listening to the Bay City Rollers and calling it thrash. Sure, they're stupid, but they're an important piece of rock anthropology.

    Take away the costumes and you still have a half a dozen great records.
    Everything they did up to about 79 was pure unadulterated Rock n Roll.
    Deuce, Strutter, C'mon & Love Me, Detroit Rock City etc. The Dead never came close...

    I'm going with KISS. I like a few of their songs, but I'm not a big fan or anything. I just prefer them over The Grateful Dead, who I know little about.

    Oh my gosh... I have never been a fan of the dead. I never liked their music, it bored/bores me. I heard that you had to be high to really appreciate their music, well I never got high, so I guess that's the reason why I never liked them.

    KISS on the other hand, I became a huge fan in my teenage years. I think I memorized every song on the Creatures of the Night album <<< yes I said album. ;-)
