Band Wars Again? Or Something Else?

    I am trying to gauge interest in doing Band Wars again this year. For those that do not remember Band Wars was something fun we did last offseason to pass the time. It was a head-to-head band tournament with bands facing off against each. Each match up would be a separate thread and you would go in and vote on who you wanted to win.

    We would go in, post YouTube links to songs, argue, watch @CRUDS get pissed about Rush doing well, learn about bands that maybe we were not into before, good times were had by all. [Well, for the most part good times were had by all, there will always be some b1tchy haters]. Band Wars was so popular it spun off a similar Rap Wars.

    In the end, after about six weeks, Led Zeppelin won. While no one was shocked at the final few bands it was not the competition that was important so much as talking about music and stuff -- the journey, not the destination.

    There is however no point in doing it again if interest is going to be low so I would like to see who is interested. And if not interested then is there something different you would be interested in?

    Other ideas:
    • Porn Star wars -- pics and clips would have to be SFW, I do not want to do this in Taboo
    • Sitcom wars
    • Song wars -- instead of band wars do specific songs
    Let me know what you think. If we want to do something other than Band Wars I can set up a poll for that.

    Band Wars is not something worth redoing, after about a week of it I hate it since it clogs up the forum, but during slow days its no biggie, just fit it in at the right time of year, maybe July when things are dead in the NFL

    Chains can be good, just depends where you experience them.

    Like where I live, we have very few chains, so the few we have tend to suck. But I have had good experiences at that chains other locations.
