    I don't know SEC330

BEFORE Tennesssee had an NFL franchise lots of people had favorite teams. When there is not a team in your area changing favorites year to year is done quite often. Myself I grew up a Raiders fan but dumped them when they moved to LA. Became a Bucs fan, but man did I enjoy the mid 80s McMahon Bears. They were definatly a favorite of mine also, but I never bought any jerseys or nothing of the Bears. Bandwagon fan? possibly, but it ain't like I was ignoring the home team to bandwagon a frontrunner or nothing.

So I guess my take on it is, If there is a team in your area that would be a free switch. Heck might as well be a fan cause you are gonna be innudated with info anyways. If there is a team in your area and your favorite is another team then I agree with the Boyz fan in that if you EVER change favorites then you are open to bandwagon status. Finally to me a bandwagon fan is those guys who are NOW dolt fans (Gayton), but a decade ago were Skin fans (Schuler), or those soft Titan fans from Te'jas (Young). To me those are bandwagon fans.

I believe they are known in Te'jas as "jockjumpers".

Then I guess you are either a bandwagoner or a bootlicker if you were an old school Oilers fan. I believe "bootlicker" is what the Houstonians call true two tone blue fans that predate titanhood.

The local "club" team went away early in the 1900s, supplanted by college sports and Major League baseball. Till that timeframe American sports were what everyone else has now. Most of the early professional football teams were in fact local athletic clubs that cheated by paying their players.

Back on point. Only the professional teams move around, and then only when serious $$$ are involved. At the minor sport level there is more movement, but that is usually to keep the franchise alive instead of just shutting down. The Nashville Kats were a failed Denver franchise for instance. All that came to Nashville in the Move was a franchise agreement with the AFL, no players or management moved from Denver.

I like the club sport concept. It allows players at all skill levels to particapate. In America kids start getting specialized in middle school and by high school it is too late to start a sport unless there is some innate ability displayed.

I say they can/should keep their favorite team despite the move - thats all good. I would LIKE to think I could follow the Titans if they were to move, don't know if I could but I would like to think I could. Titan fans that were Oiler fans are fine with me.

I gave up a long time ago being upset with local fans who did not adopt the Titans. I just know they have Titans 24/7 thrown at them so they are at least casual fans just by circumstances - lol

Of course alot of fans were fans of other teams before the Texturds came
along. but isn't it funny how all of a sudden, Idiots can crawl out the wood
work like cockroaches and claim they are fans of your team. knowing all
along they were never fans before this happenend, and now you can't
get rid of them because they're all ready settled in. and we all know
once cockroaches mutliply, It makes it that much harder to get rid of
    them

First, I'd like to know how in the heck do you get a Texans vs Cowboys flame war started up on the Titan's board.

Secondly, have you answered the obvious question of why you aren't a KC fan??

Oilers moving to Tennessee, houston getting a new team, houston football fans claim & support this new team.....

wouldn't that be very similar to the Dallas Texans(a name we had to pay $5 million to JerryJones to use) moving to KC, Dallas getting a new team, and the citizens of Dallas claiming and supporting that team??

As far as Bandwagon fans go, Dallas has a bunch of them all around the state of Texas. Nobody knows them if they aren't winning.

& neither of us have won a playoff game in the last 5 years.
