Babin's reaction to Washburn departure

    Why not? So you're the absolute worst team in the NFL, instead of in the bottom 5 or so? (which we clearly were in the bottom 5 by the end of the season)

    The only difference is that you get the pick of absolutely any player in the world you want, coming into the NFL that year.

    Give me 1-16 any day over 6-10 and a flop towards the back half of the season. Neither leave much room for hope that your team is going to be great in the very near future.

    Babin going back to one of the 4 other teams that previously cut him loose?

    There are other FA DEs we could sign.

    I hope Ford would hit the road also. Not an every down player all he does is rush the passer and his sack totals keep declining every year.

    Yeah.

    I agree, though I can support keeping Ford for a minimal amount of money as a rushing specialist. It seems like we historically have much more success in free agency on the DL.

    Don't forget the draft is stacked with DE's this year. There could be someone with a 1st round grade that slips to us at pick 40 like Watt from Wisconsin or Cameron Heyward from OSU.

    However, we wouldn't have to use that pick on a DE if we resign Babin!
