Why was he a good citizen? Because he won football games? You defend him because we persecute him. McNair's dead and you persecute him because he's beloved on here. And you don't look to play devil's advocate? Right...

Look, I'm not saying Paterno was a evil person like Sandusky. Paterno was a good citizen that made a scumbag decision because he wanted to protect what was most important to him...his Kingdom aka Penn State. Maybe turning a blind eye kept him up at night, maybe it didn't. Surely you can agree with that.

The only thing I say about McNair is that he was a sh*t QB. And he clearly was for the majority of his career... especially his last few years here.

That's not playing "devil's advocate". That's playing realist. Or unbiased fan. The ONLY people that will disagree with my statements on McNair are Titans fans that loved the guy personally and are blind to the fact that he was mediocre in his time here.

For Paterno-- up until this thing, all we knew of him were good things. Couldn't care less about his coaching when judging his character because Penn State is the enemy.

Dude made a huge mistake. Undoubtedly. But I don't think that huge mistake makes him a terrible person. People seem to put more blame on him (and he did tell his superior) than they do Sandusky, which is ridiculous.

I don't think anyone blames Paterno more than Sandusky, its just everyone expected more from Paterno than he delievered behind closed doors. Paternos, among others, mistake allowed Sandusky too prey on other kids. People pointing out Paterno error is basically because they, like I, would never have believed he would make such a huge error in judgement just too put off the day of reckoning for PedState

Paterno is as guilty as can be. There is no chance he didn't know some wrong things were going on yet did the minimum he could to hopefully cover his ass while not actually doing anything about it. And let's not pretend he did not know. He knew shady was happening.

He has an assistant tell him child rape is happening and he notifies the AD and then well whatever. Ah it's just a kid getting raped. I told the AD. Why look into in further or contact the police?

I'm really glad I was able to deflect this AU crap.

Cause let's be real. Penn State should've received DEATH. At least 100 years DEATH.

    They cover up child rape.

Who cares about players getting paid or BBQs or anything else. What is worse than what happened at Penn State? What is worse?
