No chance this happens. Zero percent.

If the Titans want to pay almost $10 million to a cornerback next season (which they clearly don't) they will give that money to Finnegan. It makes no sense to trade away a draft pick for the "privilege" of massively overpaying a cornerback.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice to give up a mid round pick and restructure his contract. But, I doubt that happens.

    You're very informative, TorontoTitanFan..

    I'd prefer to keep Finnegan.

Asante has two years left on his contract, correct?

How much is Asante due the next two seasons? Even if he's due $10mil a season, it still may beat signing Finnegan to a 5-6 year/$45-60mil deal.

If we decided not to keep Finnegan, I don't see a problem with this. It's a cheaper option.

I'd also prefer to keep a younger Finnegan, but if we decide not to, I'd love to have Samuel for a couple seasons.

I would say he wants/makes more than what Finny would get.

He still has two years left on his contract. He wouldn't require a new deal.

Finnegan will make more than Samuel from here on out.

ah true didnt think of that

Still, I would rather pay Cortland, knowing what we will get from him, than Samuel, who might flop here.

Pro Football Weekly has a "way we hear it" write up that says the Titans could give Tommy Campbell a chance to take Finnys position if he continues to mature and improve. He is big and fast.Looks like we may try to promote from within as opposed to looking at free agent corners

Yea I definitely want us to bring Finnegan back... Just saying if we don't, I'd be down for getting Samuel.
