Never seen so many crApple addicts in one spot. So sad.
So why exactly is Apple crap?
Every time I ask someone this question they can't really come up with anything you can't say about every other computer on the market.
Apple makes good products and some nice people at the stores but the company on a whole I hate. Jobs is now that evil company everyone grows to love to hate. I won't support the company just because of Jobs. If Woz was in charge I'd be on bored.
I've provided many reasons in the past. I could actually do more now since owning one.
Macs are ok for certain things. I don't own a PC anymore. Just a macbook and imac. But there's not difference between them as the mac fans pretend. And once you think costs... definitely not.
My G5 at work goes about as slow as any PC I've ever owned. It's constant pinwheels.
Might as well have an abacus...
Well I did get the MacBook Pro. It was on sale for $1138... Tax free, student discount, and I got a $100 gift card.
My God the Mac woman in the Best Buy was a total b*tch though. It's shocking she has a job. She got so defensive whenever I brought up legitimate questions/concerns.
Anyone see "The Human CentiPad" episode on South Park?
LOL, the BB off Moores? Yeah, she's not much help....
Applications> utilities> Disk utility> verify permissions, then repair permissions and restart.
The file system is not the same as Windeath's, but it still needs the same sort of maintenance that "defragging" is.
...and here's where I point out that Mac OWNERS (not you specifically right now, DW) can be the World's Greatest PITA because they're under some strange compulsion to believe that the "it just works" slogan means "it's just magic and never breaks because it's not an actual machine built by tiny little Asian ladies for seven cents/day and it never needs maintenance or backup because it's made of rainbows and unicorns and since I own one all my service department visits are to be handled immediately while the world outside stops".
Btw, i still own a Mac for the aforementioned Logic program... but I'm typing from a very old Sony Vaio which runs just fine because it's running UBUNTU!!! YAY LINUX!!
