Wow are they still talking about that penalty... lost in that penalty was the fact that it would have been 3rd down. The game is not over without that penalty. Let's not even discuss that they still had 65 yards to go after that to score a touchdown.

Why not. I can't stand the Ravens with a passion, yet I have no problem admitting Reed's damn near deity status. One of the best safetys I've ever seen play.
That's ok BOTH of our safetys got voted into the pro bowl. We have a deity level free saftey of our own.

It will be a nasty, destructive game. Here's to an injury free game.
As for the RTP flag on Suggs, while Suggs may not have 'roughed' him in the raw sense of the word, his hand did hit Collins' helmet, and technically by default, that is going to get called every time.

Reed didn't play in the first game, did he? Even if he's back, I'm not that worried. Collins did an excellent job of looking off the other PB safety Polamalu. Reed shouldn't be that much more difficult to throw around. I wouldn't be suprised if Reed does have at least one pick.
The only one that I'm not sure of is KVB. Al should be back though. But what you have to remember, is that the Titans have some excellent defensive line depth. Dave Ball, Jacob Ford, Jason Jones, are not much of a drop off at all, from KVB, Al, and Kearse.

Never mind, I found a picture of the Ravens' playoff good luck charm :wink2:

Wow, how clever. Did you come up with that on your own or did your cubical mates help you with it.

That play WAS 3rd down. The Titans would have been punting, game over. As for the 65 yards to go, I'll give you that, Rex Ryan's damn prevent defense cost us that game as well as both Pittsburgh games :irked:

But the play was already whistled dead for a false start penalty. It would have been 3rd and 15.

    Fixed your post.

It was a no play because it was blown dead due to the false start but the players continued because of the crowd noise (hooray for home field)... then the blow to the qb's head (albeit ticky tack, we've had them go against us too) causes a personal foul which supercedes the false start. It would have been 3rd and 15 as the previous poster aluded to...

I don't know why the national media jumped all over this.. maybe lack of rules knowledge or most just didn't watch the games but rather only the sportscenter highlights (who tries to dictate opinions with highlights and is quite sucessful but that's for another day)... I'm pasting the official play by play and linking it for every Raven fan and NFL analyst to quickly reference this week...

The officials said they tried to whistle the play dead but both teams continued to play, leading to the call on Suggs after Collins' pass. Did anyone ever stop to think that a personal might come out a little quicker on a DEAD BALL?

That's the point that has been lost on the Ravens team & fans. If it was still a live play I don't think they'd have given the penalty.

They say we won the game based on that call but afterwards Collins picked them apart & had his best drive of the game. They had plenty more chances to stop him/us.

The call only gave the Titans a first down at their 35-yard line with 5 minutes 50 seconds remaining. They still had a long way to go. Collins got them to the end zone, finally finding Crumpler for the touchdown with 1:56 left. The Ravens could have answered the drive, am I not right? They failed to answer. That's why they lost.
