Are we overestimating our RB need?

Greene is not a bruiser. He's a finesse RB in a bruisers build.

 

That is not true. Harper was a guy with a bruisers body, but couldn't run with power. Greene has been an extremely good short yardage back throughout his career. He was 10 for 10 on converting 3rd and 1 when he was with the Jets.

 

I am trying not to respond to stupid/trollish comments. Greene gets a lot of undeserved hate around here, its just a bit childish.

 

We can not put the faith of the RB position in a guy who in 1 season with us, put up 295 yards and a 3.8 ypc. He can be apart of a RRBC with McCluster & a 3rd/4th round pick.

I wasn't into NCAA much when we drafted Jamie Harper.. Did he fit the round we took him in or was it kinda like WHAT? Same question on Ringer..

 

Harper was drafted around when he was projected. He got benched to Ellington in college, but he had a lot of size and speed.

Ringer's projection was all over the place. He was a good pick for a 5th rounder. He did a good job as a 3rd down/spot guy until he got hurt. He didn't do much in 2009 because of CJ and Lendale. He averaged 4.7 ypc in 2010, then his ypc went down in 2011 but he caught 28 balls, then he got hurt in 2012. He was a good role player and a nice value pick.

 

He's also Webster 1 and only drafted runningback. I hope this trend doesn't continue.
