Are there any "cool" Texan's fans?

So I'm reading through the comments section on ESPN and I'm struck at a lot of the tones coming from Texan's fans. I can't find one reasonable comment. I'm sure there are some tolerable Texan's fans but it appears they are nothing but a bus-load full of jack-holes.

I get it that they have never been to the playoffs or been above .500 and this is a big deal year for them and all but I just can't root for them to do well because of what I'm reading. So I'm asking- Does anybody know if there are any "cool" Texan's fans? I'd like to see the AFC South do well in the play-offs but right now I'd rather see the F-nuts eat a loss in their first playoff game.

You have to cut them some slack and understand where/what they are coming from. They HATE bud adams, they HATE the Titans/oilers organization. They have been the redheaded step child of the AFC south since they came into the league. For the first time ever they are relevant. They have finally built a good core after sucking the big one for years and years. I just hope they also get to be one and done in the playoffs.

Yeah-I want them to do well. But the fans commenting on ESPN are seriously delusional. They really aren't THAT great even with all of their players. And the injuries have had some bearing and to their credit they have endured BUT they are 0-3 in their last 3 games and they haven't suffered injuries to their O-line (until yesterday). So their bread and butter run game has pretty much remained intact.

They have grossly underachieved in the past few years with the talent pool they have. They aren't on par with the Packers or Saints, and also much worse than the Pats and Ravens IMO. I know there are some sensible Texans' fans, I'd just like to hear from them so I can root for the AFC South to be well represented.

I don't root for a team from the AFC except the Titans, never understood that. I want the tejans to lose, I want the sqeelers to lose, I want the ratbirds to lose. Other than that I will watch and just enjoy the playoffs.

First problem is that you are basing your opinion off of the ESPN message boards. If you go from board to board over there you will likely end up thinking the entire human race is like that.

Second, the Texans did suffer an injury to the O-line when they were playing the Bengals. Mike Brisiel fractured his fibula and has been out since. The problem the Texans have been having is, when a team doesn't have to worry as much about the pass they can focus more on the run, doesn't matter how good a running game is if a team sits on the run all the time. They are 0-3 in the last 3 games because Yates threw a bunch of picks against Carolina and there was a untimely fumble, he was shut down the following game, and almost nothing but backups played yesterday.

^^^ OK- I think I have my answer. And btw- the message boards are full of sensible comments from fans from other teams. I just don't see the sensible Texans' fans being represented in equal fashion as some of those other teams.

(And it sucks this is in "smack". It really isn't smack at all.)

I don't know man, for about every 1 good post over there it seems like there are 10 posts that are the exact opposite.

Oilers81 is the only tolerable, cool Houstans fan I've come across. That said, he is *still* a Texans fan... so he can't be too cool.

There's a great bunch of guys over at Texanstalk but I rarely visit these days. I just don't have the motivation to find the time.
