And we have some new draft picks who could become instant contributors similar to last year's group. We're building a team around an entirely new philosophy. It seems that we're drafting players who we could plug in instantly into our system.

Martin, Wright, Brown sound like those type of guys and Wimbley instantly gives us a better and faster pass rush. If we can avoid key injuries, we can compete with anybody.

Lets see ... last game of the season, a WIN or die game for the Titans and a meaningless, bench most of the starters game for Houston ..

It took a botched snap at the end of the game for us to win it.

I would say they are contenders, certainly in a weak AFC. They were close to being in the AFC title game, and NE is certainly beatable.

It will be fun to change rivals for a while. The colts were getting boring. We are not that far off. If some things bounce the right way this season, and key players develop/bounce back, we could be too. And I think their roster is soon to start the downside of the hill, where ours is up and coming.

Believe it or not, it took them so long to get over the hump that their window of opportunity will probably be 2 years max.

If they want staying power they need to inject some youth into the roster. Easier said then done.

The only guy on the Texans who is getting up in age that is significant is AJ. They will have some contracts to deal with if they want to keep the team intact.

The Texans appeared to have a pretty decent draft.

You have a good point. What are we doing here? How soft has the goTitan nation become?? Its time to fix this ...

Hell no the Texans aren't better than us. The only thing that is bigger in Texas is the size of the p*ssies on their sorry a** football players. Titans are going to put a BIG beat down on them come September. Matt Schaub is nothing more than a goofy looking choke artist backup Qb trying to play with the big boys. Texans have sucked for 10 years, and they will suck for 10 more. This division is ours boys, BOOK IT!!!!!

Teams change from season to season. 49ers, Texans, hell i could list this all day long.

Bottom line is that as of the last game of the season, we coudlnt beat their backups.

I do believe we will do much better and I see no reason why we cannot beat them if we play well. However ive never been a pom poms type of person, I just call it like I see it and with the playoffs possibly on the line, we barely beat backups so yes, I do believe with the knowledge we have now, the Texans are a better team.

Ask me again in week 5, I am hoping ill be saying we are better then.

You have to take into account the achievements of both franchises. Overall, we are by far the better team than the Texans. Our record against them sides with me as well. Last year, the Texans sported a team that played better than us, which honestly wasn't saying very much at all.

With all our rookie everythings now into their second season, with a full offseason this year will show me a bit more about who we are as a team now in contrast to others, specifically the Texans. The Texans sported a good team last year, and still played well with some big names missing.

I'm not giving them credit for dick though until they can do the same again next season.
