I don't think they are overrated. I think we are extremely underrated.

Sure. Gets you into the playoffs, then bounced out. Ask the Texans, or the 49ers.

How about you tell me what great teams they beat.

The only ones I can think of are the Steelers and the Titans. And they beat the Steelers a week after the Steelers barely escaped the Colts (and I'd hardly call last year's Steelers "great"), and the Titans were just up-and-down all year.

So, if the Cows do well this year, sure, they're solid. But last year doesn't mean anything when they were mostly playing crap teams like the Dolphins, Browns, Bucs, etc.

Maybe you should have read what we were talking about. The question I was responding to was if the Titans and Texans were both 100% healthy. That means no injuries, everyone is playing at 100%. I would take Britt over AJ if injuries are not involved.

And I think I was the 1st person to give them credit for getting there wins with a 3rd sting QB. Although I still think that TJ Yates > Matt Lienart, so Lienart getting hurt was actually a good thing for them.

Tide did read what you were talking about. That is the whole point. The Texans not only had a better record than us and made the playoffs they had way more impact injuries.

Their running game is one of the best in the league even with a 3rd string QB and AJ missing a bunch of games. We can hope and assume our running game improves but right now it isn't even close comparing the two teams.

Their QB when healthy is also better than what we have right now until Locker plays and proves otherwise.

Their defense is far superior to ours and even without Mario. They proved last year they can be one of the better defenses even without Mario.

Now the argument could be made that the Texans might have a tough time rebuilding on their OL where they lost their starting right side. But until they play we won't know those results. The Titans had issues last year on the OL so we have to see if we can get those figured out as well.

Bottom line is the Texans were a superior team last year without a doubt. My God they absolutely mudered the Titans 41-7 in week 7 of the season. You would have to be on another planet or brain damaged to not think they were the better team at that point. When Schaub got hurt the team was 7-3 (on pace to win 11 games or so). Schaub had 2500 yards passing (about 250 per game) with 15 TDs and 6 ints and a close to 100 QB rating. That means he was on pace to throw for about 4000 yards. If you have a QB who can throw for 4000 yards and not turn the ball over, a running game that is one of the best and a defense that is also one of the best you have a darn good team.

    Texans are overhyped every season.

Who cares? They never do anything of importance.

And no, they're not that much better than us (if any)... or anyone else. They're merely a good team. Not great. Not contenders, that's for sure.
    2 people high five this.

I was referring strictly to the WRs Britt and AJ. He said I was crazy for saying Britt was better than AJ because Britt was always injured. But when I made that statement, it was responding to a hypothetical situation of everyone being 100% healthy. 100% healthy I would take Britt over AJ. So neither of you must have understood what I was talking about.

As far as in real life, I did say that the Texans had a lot of injuries and would've been better than 10-6 last year had they not.

I don't totally disagree that Britt could be as good as Andre Johnson or I guess even better but that is totally hypothetical. Johnson is one of the best WRs in the NFL and now Britt is coming off ACL/MCL injuries. So if you are trying to compare the two teams it makes no sense to try and give the Titans some kind of edge by putting Britt over Johnson. If we have an edge it might be with Wright if he can show he is a top notch player. One thing the Texans don't have is a quality #2 guy at this time. I'd say our WRs right now from top to bottom might be better overall especially if Britt can be close to 100%.

They lost a lot of players to free agency. They're not better than they were last year... and we are maybe slightly better than we were last year.

It's close. We'll know after this season.

And I've already proven that Kenny Britt IS better than Andre Johnson.

Don't make me do it again.
