Rivalry? Kind of like the UT vs. Kentucky Rivalry. Yes, last year, both blind squirels found acorns, but its still not a rivalry.

So you start up with the history again? Start another thread if thats the direction you want to go.

And it appears you think the Texans wouldnt have made the playoffs with Schaub at QB....kinda of a stretch dont you think?

As far as the Colts go...we stomped a mudhole in them too. They were on the way out before PM got hurt. Hell the Titans would have been able to beat em. Oh and by the way....you brought up history again.

And finally,as far as being dominate year in and year out? I guess we'll have to see. But again that doesnt have anything to do with the original question.

Maybe you should just go ahead and start your own topic, because cant seem to manage to stay on this one.

As of right now the Texans are better.Ask anyone outside of Tenn.

To tell you the truth I dont really care what your stand is about the rivalry......the players make it pretty obvious their is one. And that makes for some good football!

Oh, I agree that it has potential to BECOME a great rivalry... but thus far its just been us giving you guys a swirlie from time to time.

You do realize everyone is picking the Texans this year right? And I am not just talking about the media. Everyone know the Texans are the favorites because of the TEAM we have. They are mentally able to differentiate between the David Carr expansion teams and years past.... To this team. Which is deep enough to sustain devastating injuries and STILL win in the playoffs.

The Texans were 7-3 before Schaub went down... And we had to play our 3rd stringers for you guys to even get a winning record last year, and yall should have never even won that game. Heck, AJ, Foster, and Schaub only played on the same field together for half of a gam last year. Total.

You guys have proven NOTHING under your new coach, and now yall are going to magically win the division? I will be around and I will enjoy it when we repeat and then watch you guys squirm in anguish and then point to all your "glorious" history....lol.

Like I said...the part that makes it good is already in place. Player animosity.
If it turns into a better rivalry? Thats just icing on the cake.

Oh yeah....you may have given us some swirlies in the past, but we threw you in the pizz trough last year. :ha:
Which is what this discussion is about.

The only thing we have to judge by at this point is last year and player strength at position.

We all know what happened game wise last year so I wont rub it in....much.

So lets move on to position strength. Exactly where do you see the Titans stronger position wise? Keeping in mind that our team was a list of walking wounded at key positions.

And no,I dont want to hear about your "storied past" as short as it is.
Just the facts in response to the OP.

This thread is reaching "smack talk" levels. :ha:

    Fair enough.

We're stronger at tackle. We're stronger at tight end. I think we will be stronger at receiver. And since our front seven is VERY young, I think we will improve drastically there, and overtake you soon, if we haven't already. Our secondary is better than yours too.

And I would say you dont really know if your front seven is going to be any good same as with the receiver position. Just like I dont know if our new receivers are going to pan out.
What I do know is our D was #2 last year and that shouldnt change based on what we know. I wont say we'll get better because that would be speculating.(which is pretty much all we do on these boards in the offseason)

I fully expect both teams will be improved over last season though.

As far as position goes I say the Texans win a hefty majority. And last years play reflects that.
