Yeah, I agree. In those first two rounds, sometimes even in the third you've got to really focus on getting starters. You don't want to reach, but drafting back up guys, like Henry and Dodd kind of defeat the purpose of building through the draft to manage cap restraints. At least Henry gets some good usage that will continue to rise until he completely takes over as the lead back. Dodd in the other hand won't ever do that as a LB. Honestly his best chance to be successful is to go to a team with a 4-3 scheme, or try to make the shift to 3-4.

We have no idea who got the best pass rusher in the 2nd round. You're overreacting and coming to conclusions about a guy that didn't fully recover from foot surgery but tried to play through it. It's obvious he wasn't himself.

Hopefully Dodd will come in fully healthy and we'll see what the plan is for him (add weight to move to DE or stay at OLB/Klug role as inside rusher in Nickel?). Then we'll see what he brings. One thing he SHOULD have down is the defense!

I agree he's better suited to a 4-3 D, but clearly they think he can play OLB on the strong side and I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be inside on some nickel packages ala Klug's role.

Again, we gave up a lot in Dodd over other players or picks and players. We'll see how he and Johnson do this year! Keep your fingers crossed because if Rak or Morgan get hurt, or Sly disappoints, we may need them!

When will people leave the Dodd thing alone? Robinson has only brought in like a million guys who started or contributed on the first winning team Tennessee has had in years, yet everyone wants to nitpick and complain about an injured guy.

he was the first pick of the 2nd round, basically a first rounder or at least a tradeable asset. It's kind of a big deal to draft such a bust.

You must be subjective in your praise of JRob, you can't just give him credit for his good moves, albeit many, and ignore his bad moves. This is why people can't stand fanboys.

A fanboy is different than a realistic observer of the sport. If you expect success out of every draft pick, every single GM will disappoint you. And it's an injury that's holding back a guy who received first round grades. It's not like he was a reach by any stretch of your imagination.
