    Oh thank god. When I saw you tagged me in this thread I thought for sure you had taken back the record.

    TBH when you hit that 55,000 or whatever number last time I didn't think I was gonna be able to best it. The funny thing is when I finally did beat it I wasn't even really trying to. I was listening to a podcast and just casually playing Tetris to pass the time. Wasn't even paying attention to my score until I looked over and saw I was over 50,000 and thought "Holy s*** I'm really on a run here!" lol. Then the pressure was on.

    I think Tetris is one of those games where the harder you are trying to get a particular score the worse you are going to do. And there is a bit of luck involved. Sometimes you just get a really unlucky series of shapes and it screws your whole game up.

    I'll still take a stab at it here n there but I've found I run into the same wall every time I get past 30,000.
    The game intuitively starts feeding you pieces that will mess up your board while at the same time it throws you into level 9 or 10 insanity
    - then you die quickly. And of course you often have no idea how many points you put up cuz the screen goes blank.
    67,000 is a great score and that should stay for a while.

    I could probably topple Alex' SI score if I had the time to play the long game with the red flying saucers.
    I don't recall how it works on the old original but this version allows you acrue 8 lives max at any one time which definitely hampers progress..

    Got Cubefield but there are lots of games which comes up when I search for 2048. Can you be more specific?
