It's pretty obvious that he made up this story for attention and sympathy votes for the heisman
Yeah I was really just throwing ideas out there. They're now saying Te'o was catfished for 2 years which doesn't make much sense either....
This is really weird. I'll take him in the 2nd.
You needa change your signature, that's just mean.
Manti was in on it, he just said that but wasn't really on the phone with her. Get his phone records somebody, thaty'll solve it.
Lol this cat just went entirely off the big board. Wowzers. First that rough ass championship game and now he's a big fat liar... Leadership by denial? Naw we can cross him off the first round.
Damage control? You aren't catfished for 2 years... Why is he lying to cover his own ass?
He's probably on the downlow and that was his way of getting chicks to avoid him while not looking too conspicious. Being a religious university, he probably would have been ridiculed for being a down low bro.
"Manti, how come I never see you with chicks..."
"Well, i got this chick from way back when who has cancer... and umm.. yeah..."

Notre Dame isn't religous. It's Catholic.
Even if Manti somehow WAS NOT in on it, very unlikely. He still lied about quite a lot. He obviously never talked with this girl on the phone which he said he did, she never visited Hawaii which he said she did, and they never met outside of a Stanford game 2 years ago which he said they did. Yeah he can attribute all those lies to being embarrassed to have been in an online relationship, but that doesn't explain why he lied about it since then.
It was reported a hoax to ND on December 26th, Te'o has been sitting on this for 3 weeks while everyone has donated money to foundations in memory of this fake girlfriend. Maybe he was afraid to tell the truth because of how much publicity it got, idk.
I still don't understand how Te'o, a star linebacker who smells like NFL money, has to settle for an online relationship...Are ND girls really that bad?
