Vince should just grow wings and fly into the endzone every play. Evolve Vince! EVOLVE!
That was one reason that I didn't want the Titans to draft him in the first place. I pointed out that running QB's in the NFL can never stay healthy. A franchise QB who misses this much time is just pointless.
The worst part of this is while he's hurt, he gets a pass from the organization. In other words, if he's not playing, they can't evaluate his play... he can't mess up.
VY's running mentality is what got him hurt against the Jags in the first place. Pocket passers that fumble snaps fall on the ball, but running QB's try to make a play out of nothing all the time. If he just falls on the ball we don't even have this conversation.
I know he's no McNair but the guys pain threshold is that of a 10 year old girl. I mean Fish is talking about him playing in two weeks? How would an injury that you can come back from so quickly take you out of the 4th quarter in a game you are in position to win? I think a lot of it comes down to heart, and I'm not sure he has enough.
Hell Favre plays with broken bones... how many games do you think VY would miss with the same injury?
You guys realize you're comparing him to the two toughest QBs in the last 20 years, right? Those things are not the norm.
I agree and think HeadOnASwivel is way overboard in his criticism.
Nonetheless, VY does seem injury prone.
At least he isn't as bad as Bob Sanders, just remember that.
He wouldn't be getting hurt if he ran more. Whats getting him is hitting full speed from a stand still position. He either should be a statue like Manning, or rolling out to stay lose.
What? He got hurt picking up a fumble, and then reinjured himself trying to run....Not getting ran into full speed from a stand still position, and if that was how he was getting hurt, how would him standing there like a statue like manning help? This post honestly makes no sense.
You need to work on your reading comprehension
Maybe I do, so please tell me what JC brave is trying to say. As I understand it he is saying that:
1. VY gets hurt because he doesn't scramble enough
2. He's getting hurt because he is standing still and getting ran into at full speed.
3.He should stand still like Manning, or scramble more.
Now Young didn't get hurt standing there trying to pass, he got hurt trying to make a play out of a fumble, and then reinjured himself trying to scramble. Also JC suggests VY to do what apparently gets him hurt?
Maybe I'm getting this completely wrong, but please clarify. Thanks.
