    And the main reason people drive on the left is this -

    "In the past, almost everybody travelled on the left side of the road because that was the most sensible option for feudal, violent societies. Since most people are right-handed, swordsmen preferred to keep to the left in order to have their right arm nearer to an opponent and their scabbard further from him.

    And that site also gives out this little piece of advice:

    "Visitors are informed that in the United Kingdom traffic drives on the left-hand side of the road. In the interests of safety, you are advised to practise this in your country of origin for a week or two before driving in the UK." - Am I the only one who sees the flaws in this logic..:ha:

    I've done a fair bit of driving in the US without any problems. I have more of a problem when I am walking towards someone and instinctively veer left to avoid them, only to run straight into them!!!
