why was he starting for the colts last night?

i remember us drafting him and seems like i remember he looked good in training camp in 07...but i honestly dont remember much else. when was he cut/ released? how did we let a 5th rounder slip away and become a starter for the colts???

sorry if this has been answered, im outta the loop

we released him from our practice squad early last season after he didn't make the 53 and the colts signed him. he has played pretty well for them.

The refs were too busy with their heads up the Colts' arse to see anything else that was going on.

I think the Colts actually signed him from our practice squad. Sucks because we were pretty stacked at DT at the time. Now...

He's been a good player for them.

He's not great. The Colts aren't that strong against the run generally. He benefits from playing on a great team. Here, he'd be another Jovan Haye or Senderrick Marks (who must be worth the money, he did get some mop-up time this year...he's earning that 2nd rd. pick money...bleh.)

Coach Washburn loved Mookie. The FO tried to stash him on the PS because he was still an unknown due to having been on IR all of his rookie season. Worked fine, but the Colts were desperate and knew Mookie was Washburn's prodigy (Mudd and Washburn are buddies). They made an offer to start Mookie, the Titans countered with offering him more money, but Mookie wanted to play. Now he is starting, and their Defense loves him.
