No motive. He's a psychopathic killer acting without reason. Hard to believe that these weapons were purchased legally. The 2nd amendment was created with the mindset that we have the right to bear arms for protection, and I support that. Citizens are just abusing the 2nd amendment, buying them to murder, rather than protect. I would be 100% behind eliminating all gun ownership if it guaranteed that no guns were out there. Obviously that's impossible. The psychos who end up with these guns will get them one way or another, whether legal or not. Firstly, internet access to purchasing guns, ammo, etc. needs to be illegal. Secondly, the purchasing of a weapon needs to be a long, tedious process. Background checks, psychiatric evaluations, etc need to happen. They may happen to an extent, but they need to be much more precise.
I'm getting tired of a-holes like this guy ruining it for the rest of us who also are quiet and keep to ourselves. When I'm not being a rock star, that is.
I hate to agree with you but I do. This guy was obviously a very bright person and some people who aren't able to harness their genius end up like this. The Unabomber was an Ivy League guy right? There's no doubt Hitler was a smart man even tho he is a POS. You can almost profile these types of people... however, it is unclear what makes them snap. Perhaps it is the fame or the fact that they will be remembered for something. Let's face it, the whole world is seeing this guys face on TV and none of us would be talking about him if it wasn't for his actions. It's sad, because this guy could have made great advances in his studies and could have been remembered for being someone who made positive contributions to society. Instead, this guy took the easy way out and decided that being remembered for being a piece of s h i t is better than working hard and doing the right thing in life.
If we are going to make guns illegal I think we should make summer blockbusters illegal. Better safe than sorry.
Easy one: the belief that hard work will get you anywhere is gone. Most people believe the game is fixed. No amount of education will get you anywhere any more unless there's a crony to hold the door open for you. Might as well go out with a bang.
Kenny used to get killed in every episode of South Park which also takes place in Colorado. Peyton Manning lives there now, so you know the place has to really suck.
Without living vicariously through violent movies we'd still be building coliseums and feeding people to lions.
Do you really think violent movies are to blame? If you don't watch violent movies, you're missing out some classics. This kid, though smart, is a psycho. That's not a movie's fault.
