I don't like to wish injury on anyone, but it's probably best for everyone he be done for a while.

The last time i was slightly happy because of a Titan injury was Nick Harper, I guess Amano is now the most recent to make me smile

All we need is him to miss a few games for everyone to notice our offense is better without him, then he'll ride the bench and be dropped next offseason.

All of a sudden, the Titans may be in temporary trouble at center.

The two players considered to be battling for the starting position, Eugene Amano and Kevin Matthews, were both out of action by the end of Thursday’s practice.

Amano suffered a right tricep injury during the practice and he’ll be further evaluated. Matthews was injured in Tuesday’s practice and has exhibited some concussion-like symptoms. He didn’t practice on Thursday.

Fernando Velasco, a versatile offensive lineman, was playing starting center at the end of Thursday’s practice. He’s backed up by a couple of free agents – rookie William Vlachos and fourth-year pro Kyle DeVan.

Coach Mike Munchak said that depending on the severity of the players’ injuries, the team may have to look into roster additions at center.

“That’s how fast you can get in trouble at camp,” Munchak said. “You think one minute you have 15 (offensive linemen) and guys can’t get any reps. The next minute two guys get hurt and you’re in trouble. We’ll see how these guys are and hopefully we won’t have to worry about getting anybody else.”

As for other injuries, neither tight end Brandon Barden (hamstring) nor wide receiver Devin Aguilar (hamstring) practiced on Thursday.

Oh no, it's like we should have signed one of those all pro centers in free agency

Amano definitely needs to go. Not impressed with him at all. Wish Matthews could step up and have a great career.
