Mariota was awful. Those first 2 picks were ridiculous (He's pretty much had a terrible pick in every game). I'm honestly a little worried. How was he any better than Blake Bortles last night?

He wasn’t. But you don’t get rid of a QB for one bad game.

Statistically, Mariota has been the best QB this franchise has ever had, and he’s still young.

 

If MM8 is not better by end of season, they better bring in better coaches or trade him but no QB will be good in this offense.

Mariota has definitely taken a step back this year. I think he has the potential to be great but this offense and coaching staff is archaic and doesn't play to his strengths.

I look at Goeff, he was a sure fire bust last year under Fishface and his archaic style of offense and this year he's looking like a stud. Mariota never looked as bad as Goeff did last year so what would a good QB friendly coach be able to do with him?

 

Mariota thrives in a fast paced, no huddle style offense with quick throws and then taking shots down the field to loosen up the defense. Our archaic slow paced offense that bunches up all of our receivers and going run, run pass 90% of the time is the opposite style of offense that a guy like Mariota would thrive in.

Look at the first play in the second half, they literally shocked the Steeler by coming out with deep pass downfield and it worked. Steelers were just crowding the line waiting for the typical hand off to Murray up the middle and we caught them with their pants down. After that, we went right back to the same old crap.

 

Even commentators were all like "no huddle was working!..what'd they stop for??...."

 

Does no one realize what kind of pressure it puts on the d and olineman?
