Alice Cooper vs Van Halen
Allow me to cast the lone vote that Alice will get.
Van Halen will never live down hiring Sammy Hagar in my book. Nice guy, but he fails in the Rock dept...
"Welcome to my nightmare" one of my alltime favorites!
Another vote for Alice..
Schools not out yet, but there is an Eruption going on.
Ah man, Love it to Death and Easy Action are two of Rock's most under appreciated great slabs. Is It My Body? What an awesome tune..
Neck and neck so far.
Tough call for me. I loved Alice as a teen, Welcome to my Nightmare is epic!!
But I gotta go VH here since I saw them playing gigs in my high school gym before they were discovered. I liked the Hagar days too.
I voted for Van Halan based on Van Halan...not Van Hagar. Van Halan stands on its own. Just like for me, while Brian Johnson AC/DC is still good, the real AC/DC is Bon Scott.
David Lee Roth
Dang, poll closed...
Well, VH for me... there's just no denying what EVH did to the rock landscape... Nowadays old Alice Cooper songs sound like Tommy James.
Sammy hagar: Hate to disagree, CC, but the guy can rock... still hasn't lost it, still can hit all the notes...he doesn't age. But I'll give you this: I never heard a Van hagar album all the way through because I look at the song titles and the word "love" appears WAAAAY too many times.
