Alan Lowry..

    How do you guys think he has been this far? I know this year it's hard to judge on how our special teams coverage has been, due to the new kickoff rule.

    So far, I have seen a big improvement on our kick (when given the chance) and punt return coverages (ala the Darren Sproles punt return what got called back).

    The coverage unit was horrible on all phases last year. But I will give Lowry credit where credit is due, because I was very hard on him last year.

    Could it be that Tommie Campbell has saved his tenure in Tennessee :D

    I've been very critical of Lowry over the years, I just don't like the guy to be honest.

    Yeah, I have been critical of him, also. I can finally say that I don't too much hold my breath anymore on special teams coverage like I'm so use to.

    I mean he's been pretty lucky to have Derrick Mason, Pacman Jones, Chris Carr and Marc Mariani along with some great punters and kickers to help make him look like he knows something. He stinks IMO.

    Lowry is the Donnie Nickey of Titans coaches.

    He's also been lucky to have great punters in Hentrich and Kern as well as some great returners.

    I think that the special teams coach is a tough gig and requires a talented coach.

    Lowry doesn't suck but he never excels either.

    I've been pretty happy with the coverage, but WAY too many holding calls on kick returns.
