    He overstayed his welcome by about a decade or so but before the turn of the millenium he had one of the best winning percentages in football and led his team to quite a few Super Bowls and playoff games.

    Besides Tennessee i've always had a fondness for the Silver and Black.Had some great players come through there especially some mean gritty monsters on defense.Matuzak,Alzado,Tatum,Long,Hendricks,etc.

    While he himself was integral to the league as we know it, I think until recently he really did the Raiders a disservice.

    Wild guy and he'll surely be missed, but no way the Raiders are worse off today had he retired 5-10 years ago.

    RIP Al......You were a visionary.

    For those of you too young to remember, the NFL would be a whole lot different today if Al Davis was not involved. More-so than any owner, he was an integral part of the growth of the sport we all love today.
