I open a word document from my email, it was an application form which I filled out. I clicked save and it saved but it never asked me to save into a specific location, I closed it and then realised my error. Is there anyway I can get this back? I can't imagine I could save it and it not being anywhere on my computer. But running a search doesn't help.
It's probably in your temporary files (which is where all email attachments get lost when you just save them like that). Try to do a search for new files (even just new Word files) and make sure to search for hidden files and folders. It will turn up...
