Agent for Turner: No trade likely

Nobody is advocating 'forfeiting' our first pick, we're saying trade our first round pick for theirs and Turner. We'd still have a first round pick, it'd just be 11 picks later.

 

Reading between the lines I think that the Titans have already come to an approximate deal with Turner as to the amount of $$$ he will get. It is all just a game of chicken as to the compensation the Chargers want. I agree with Soxcat that it is in the best interest of both teams to wait until draft day to get the deal done. That way the Chargers know what they are getting and the Titans know they aren't missing anything.

 

Just sign Chris Brown and be done with it...

My thoughts as well. We can get a decent RB in the 3rd or 4th round in the draft as well. Pittman, Irons, Bush, Hunt are all backs that could come in and push LW and at least a couple of those guys will be available in the 3rd round.
There is good value in the 3rd round for running backs and all we really need is a backup who can push White.

why do you want lendale white to play? hes 35 pounds fatter then last season, hasnt started since highschool, and when he actually did get a fair amount of carries, he had Mr. Bush tiring out the defense so it looked like lendale was actually running.

 

the same argument could be made about Turner with LT, the difference is LenDale is already on the team so we wouldn't have to trade for him.
