After the 1st Preseason Game...

try not to judge our d line to much, sims kept them out there a long time, please cut him now, Verner right now should be a starter!!

I saw Sims out there throwing blocks extending Seahawk drives.

I think Mariani did a good job in the return game. I know it is the first preseason game but I have a feeling that he is going to take it to the house a couple times this season which we be nice. The db's need to cut out getting out of place on the quick slant passes. They were getting killed really bad especially in the second quarter. Ringer needs to be more consistent. He can bust one big play for a lot of yards then have a bunch of short yard gains. Please get rid of Chris Simms.

everybody notice donnie friggin nickey making plays in the backfield and on special teams all night long. He is such a special teams talent so his obvious dominance aginst insurance salesmen should have been apparent too all.

Lol @ everyone who thinks that pick VY threw really matters. This is PRESEASON! You can make passes you normally wouldn't and practice timing patterns which is likely what he was doing. He made a mistake... in the preseason. Big whoop. Make your mistake and learn from it.

Remember how bad CJ looked in preseason last year? How'd he end up doing when the regular season rolled around?

hell he didn't exactly look like an All-pro saturday.

VY looked really sharp on that first drive... he threw an out, a screen, and a slant - 3 passes that have NOT been good for him in the past. Normally those 3 passes would be out-of-bounds, in-the-dirt, and INT. The INT he threw on a come-back route where Gage didn't come back at all doesn't bother me. That was mostly on Gage.

I'm most impressed with the defense, though. With many of the starters resting up, we began with a lot of the 2nd team on the field and they got pressure up front, stuffed the run and played tight coverage. Not sure what to think about Mouton - he's obviously talented, but he won't see the field if he makes those kinds of mental mistakes. McCourty looks like he's got the edge. I like what we saw of Verner. Witherspoon was a good pickup. Tulluch might look even better than last year. Babin might be a good pickup.

Overall a lot of my fears about this year are calmed. Looking forward to seeing some of these position battles play out.

All I gotta say is Vince looked incredible that first drive....crisp, smooth and right on target. Atleast we know he is keeping pace with what he did last year.

As fars as that INT.....come on Vince, use your legs, you would have had that 1st down if you ran. DONT get away from what made you into a star in college just to try and be a passing QB.....use both abilities( Hell I even sent him a tweet, saying the same thing).

Im not worried bout CJ, he will be CJ....but if we can get that dual offense going, like we saw flashes of last year, Titans will be damn good this year.

Get rid of Simms, he isnt worth being 3rd string.
