What are your thoughts? The Good. The Bad. Dissapointments. What your excited about.

My take after the 1st game...

I'm really excited about our dline returning to form. We had most of our rotation guys (Morgan, Brown, and Hayes were out) in against their starters and they got pressure on the QB just about every play.

Our linebackers looked solid. The combination of the dline push and the backers flowing shut down the Seahawks run defense. We've never really allowed teams to run on us, but this year it looks like we can stop the run AND get pressure on the QB.

I think our DB's are going to be solid this year. Finny didn't play and the starters (minus Mouton) looked solid. Verner impressed me a lot and I won't feel a bit uneasy if him or McCourty is starting opposite Finny. Verner looks like the future at the #2 CB spot though.

    On offense...

I think our offense is gonna give other teams fits. I don't think we'll have trouble scoring points against ANYBODY. If you key on CJ, Vince can make the throw. If you blitz, we can kill you with screens. If you sit back CJ will eat you up.

I'm pretty damn excited about 2010. Can't wait to see next weeks game against better competition. That 1st drive just looked waaay too easy though. If the starters would've played the whole game it looked like it would've been a blowout. Like 35-7 blowout.

I'm pretty excited about Marc Mariani, he showed great hands( no muffed punts) he did pretty good on returns, he did good as WR, and he seem pretty tough out there. i got my fingers crossed he turns out like a Wes Welker and we keep him over Paul Williams.

Britt let me down a bit, not sure what going on with him. i hope next week we get to see Damian Williams.

Paul Williams will probably be the first guy cut. At least he should be.

I thought Marc Mariani looked really good, too. I think, based on last night's game, that he has the hands, the smarts, and the versatility as a returner to make this team. Verner also really impressed me, and I think it'd be hard to find a better interception than the one he had last night. He also appeared to come up and make some good plays in the run game. McCourty also seemed to do a very good job on his side of the field. I was really impressed with these three guys.

Our offense look really good that screen pass to Hall was legit.

On D the Dline look good and Verner and Mcourty look good.
I need to see more of our LBs but Tully looks good too.

Being that Simms and Williams both failed to make previous Titans rosters, why keep them on board? We should cut them both today so that they can maybe catch on with another team where they'll get shots to play. With the Titans they stand little to no chance at playing. If neither could make less talented Titans teams, what makes our coaches think it'll be different this time around? We have too many at the QB & WR position already.

I agree. He's clearly hit is ceiling, he has improved some, but that is just not enough. He is always going to make dumb decisions. I think he'll hang himself this year especially with our brutal schedule. I'll give him a pass in the preseason but I'm not very optimistic.

That first drive was awesome. I expect big things all around on offense this season. We could still use a better receiver, hope Britt comes along we need him to be a true #1.

About the pick, Vince HAS to throw the ball away in that situation. It's on him, but Gage did nothing to make a move to get over. He just got beat by coverage and seemed to quit on the play. Still, that decision is on Vince, but it would be nice to see the WR work harder to get open.

And I'm pretty pessimistic about the D overall. We need some players to breakout to be good.
