And to re-hijack my own thread, my g/f and I are planning our next epic adventure that will take us to Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Potentially 30 countries, but in 2014.

I don't what you have in mind, but consider Iceland. Dubai/Abu Dhabi is also visit worth, although it's more of a WTF, in the desert? kinda thing.

Iceland is a definite after I saw Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss and that giant church in Reykjavik.

We're going to do Dubai if we get a mandatory stop over with Emirates.

But that is so far away we're just in planning stages.

Unfortunately we won't be able to do Scandinavia, which I am disappointed about but also we are going through Summer so I won't see snow anyway (well I don't think).

You're still able to ski somewhere in the Aples during the summer. Glaciers above 3000m most likely has snow all year.
There's one in Zell Am Zee in Austria, called Kaprun. I haven't tried it in summertime though.

I have a pending UAE trip this year. Not sure if I'm excited about that or not.
