AFC South midseason projections

Houston Texans

Andre Johnson leads the NFL in receiving yards (834) and ranks second in the league with 60 catches. Johnson is on pace (120; 1,668) to surpass his own Texans record for receptions (103 in 2006) and receiving yards (1,147 in 2006)......Three-year veteran Owen Daniels set the club record for tight ends in receptions (63) and receiving yards (768) in a season in 2007 and is on pace (86 receptions; 1,056 yards) to surpass that record......On the defensive side, defensive end Mario Williams leads the team with eight sacks and is on pace (16.0) to break his franchise record of 14.0 in 2007.

Indianapolis Colts

Peyton Manning and Colts take aim at a seventh consecutive playoff bid as the second half of the season begins......Manning ranks third in the AFC with 2,008 passing yards and is on track (4,016) to become the first quarterback in NFL history with nine 4,000-yard seasons......Manning's pass-catching foursome of wide receiver Reggie Owens (586), wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez (412), tight end Dallas Clark (391) and wide receiver Marvin Harrison (320) are all on pace to reach 500 receiving yards and can become the Colts' first foursome to accomplish the feat since 2000 (five players with 500 or more receiving yards).

Jacksonville JaguarsÂ*

David Garrard, the leader of the Jaguars' offense, is on track (3,542) to become the team's first quarterback to throw for more than 3,500 passing yards sinceÂ*Mark Brunell (3,640 in 2000)......Garrard's top receiving threat, wide receiver Matt Jones, leads the team with 45 catches and is on pace join receivers Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith as the only players in Jaguars history to record 90 or more receptions in a season...... Cornerback Rashean Mathis has two interception-touchdown returns this season and needs one more to surpass Aaron Beasley (2 INT-TDs in 1999) for the franchise record.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans' defensive prowess and an effective running game have set the tone for the NFL's only remaining undefeated team. Tennessee's defense ranks first in the NFL in points per game (12.9) and is tied for the league lead with 13 interceptions......On offense, running backs Chris Johnson and LenDale White have formed a formidable tandem. Johnson leads the AFC in rushing yards (715) and White ranks first in the NFL in rushing touchdowns (10). A former USC product, White is on pace (20) to set the franchise record (Earl Campbell, 19 in 1979).
