Adrian Peterson has Torn MCL+ACL

ESPN's Josina Anderson just reported on twitter that Peterson's MRI has confirmed he has a torn MCL and ACL.

Huge news for Vikings. He's always been injury prone but getting an injury like this this late into the season could easily cut into offseason training.

Yeah. Gerhart looked solid but it's hard for anyone to duplicate AP. Hopefully he can make 100% recovery like Britt is trying to do right now with similar injury.

Tough part is I think it's easier to deal with it as a WR than RB.

AP is a guy who needs those knees for power moves to drive piles forward or simply fall forward in a tackle.

I think Britt has a bigger risk of reinjury at WR, but AP has a bigger chance of seeing a dropoff in production at RB.

I remember living in Oklahoma when Adrian Peterson was at OU. I talked to a lot of people that went to OU and met a lot of OU players. Every person I talked to said that Adrian Peterson was never at parties, because he was always in the gym while everyone was partying.

Adrian is really a class act, and I wish the best for him and hope he gets back to full strength like I know he will.

Sucks for all football fans to see one of the game's great players go down like that. Hope he comes back strong. Too soon to count him out in 2013 and beyond.

I hate to bring this up but... Do any of you think CJ would get the response AP has if he were to suffer a similar issue? Really feel bad for the guy. He played his heart out even when his team was going nowhere this year.
